First notable ferry story

Today while directing traffic up at the street, a guy handed me a "homemade watermelon lollipop". I thanked him and told him that he was amazing. There was no way I was going to eat it. When I came down to the ticket booths, I showed it to my co-worker, Jed. He said that he wanted it so I gave it to him and told him to let me know if he started to smell colors after he ate it. Apparently there were no side effects, at least not that he admitted to.

My New Life

I've decided to blog any funny, weird, interesting stories from my new job at Washington State Ferries in case I want to write a book someday. Today in training for WSF the quote of the day is: We're dealing with the public and the public is not stable. Expect the unexpected." Some form of this quote will probably be my book title.
